Lorenzo Meseguer Violonchelo Catedrático de violonchelo en el Conservatorio Superior de Música de Castilla y León, compagina la docencia con su carrera concertista siendo miembro de la "City of Birmingham Symphony Orchestra" y del "Balthasar Neumann Ensemble" de Freiburg. Comenzó sus estudios musicales en el conservatorio de su ciudad natal continuándolos en el Real Conservatorio Superior de Música de Madrid donde finaliza con Matrícula de Honor. Posteriormente se traslada a Salzburgo becado por la fundacón BBVA, donde termina el Master en la Universität Mozarteum entre los alumnos más sobresalientes bajo la tutela del prestigioso chelista Enrico Bronzi. En 2015 finaliza sus estudios de Postgrado con Matrícula de Honor por la Royal Academy of Music de Londres becado por "Santander Universities UK". Lorenzo ha sido galardonado en numerosos concursos nacionales e internacionales destacando el "Liezen International Wettbewerb" (Austria), primer premio en el XXVII Festival Internacional de Música de Portogruaro (Venecia), el primer premio en el concurso "Ciutat de Xátiva", primer premio y premio especial de la fundación Don Juan de Borbón en el V Concurso Nacional de Violonchelo Florián de Ocampo, II Concurso Nacional Illa de Menorca Fidah , Concurso Nacional de Música de Cámara de Manresa , Concurso Nacional de Violonchelo de Arquillos, V Certamen Nacional Intercentros Meloómano, entre otros. Su debut como solista lo hizo con tan solo 12 años, desde ese momento ha ido incrementando esta labor interpretando posteriormente y grabando para Radio Nacional de España obras de J. Haydn, C.P.E. Bach, C. Saint-Saëns, concierto E. Elgar, E. Lalo. En la temporada 2011/12 abre la temporada de conciertos del Auditorio de Murcia con el concierto n.1 de D. Shostakovich junto a la Orquesta Sinfónica de la Región de Murcia con la que también interpreta, más recientemente, el concierto para violonchelo de A. Dvorak con gran acogida entre público y crítica. Así mismo su interés por la música de cámara le ha llevado a formarse con Rainer Schmid (Hagen Quartet), Wolfgang Redik (Vienna piano Trio), Emerson Quartet, Brentano Quartet, Minetti Quartet, Trio di Parma, y en la Mcgill University of Montreal (Canadá). Ha compartido escenarios con músicos como Guy Braunstein, Kolja Blacher, Gordan Nikolich, Wolfgang Redik, Nicholas Altstaed, Arabella Steinbacher, Elisabeth Scholl, Scharoun Ensemble de la Filarmónica de Berlín, y ha actuado en festivales por gran parte de Europa y Norte-América, destacando el festival de Santa Cecilia (Portogruaro, Venecia), Bayreuth (Nüremberg), Rutesheim (Stuttgart), Festival de verano de Segovia (España), Schleswig-Holstein Musik Festival (Hamburgo), Zermmat Festival 2013 y 2014 (Suiza) invitado por miembros de la Filarmónica de Berlín, Toronto Summer Festival 2014 (Canadá), Rheingau Festival 2015, Fundación Juan March 2016. En el ámbito orquestal ha actuado con diversas orquestas por Norte América, Europa, China y Sudamérica y ha formado parte de orquestas como la Joven Orquesta Nacional de España (JONDE), la orquesta Schleswig-Holstein (SHMF), Sandor Vegh Kammerorchester Salzburg, y de las que ha sido solista de cello. Durante los años 2014-2016 obtuvo el puesto de academista del conjunto historicista "Balthasar Neumann Ensemble" de Freiburg (Alemania), dirigida por el prestigioso director Thomas Hengelbrock y bajo su mecenazgo personal. Su interés por la docencia le ha llevado a ser invitado como profesor de la Orquesta Nacional Juvenil de Costa Rica, al Festival Luigi Boccherini y recientemente al Liceo Mozartiano de la Habana(Cuba). Destaca también La grabación de su primer disco "Perspectiven" (Salzburgo, 2013) con obras para violonchelo solo de Reger, Ysaÿe y Ligeti. Lorenzo toca un instrumento Richard Duke, Londres 1770. Lorenzo Meseguer (Murcia, 1990), is awarded "Promusician of the Year" 2015 by the Association Promúsica of Murcia (Spain). He has been recently apointed cello Professor at "Conservatorio Superior de Música de Castilla y León" in Salamanca. Before that he has been member of the City of Birmingham Symphony Orchestra. He began his musical education at the Conservatory in his home town and then he continued to study at the Royal Conservatory of Madrid, where he graduated with Honours. Later he received a grant by BBVA Foundation to study at the University Mozarteum Salzburg, where he finished a MA being one of the most brilliant students under the guidance of the renowned cellist Enrico Bronzi. In 2015 he completed his postgraduate studies with Honours at the Royal Academy of Music in London. He did his debut as soloist at the early age of 12. From that moment, he has increased his activity and he recorded compositions by J. Haydn, C.P.E. Bach, C. Saint-Saëns, E. Elgar and E. Lalo for the Spanish National Radio. He opened the concert season 2011/12 at the Auditorium of Murcia playing the concert nº1 by D. Shostakovich with the Symphony Orchestra of the Region of Murcia. Among these festivals, it is relevant to mention Santa Cecilia Festival (Portogruaro, Venice), Bayreuth (Nüremberg), Rutesheim (Stuttgart), Summer Festival in Segovia (Spain), Schleswig-Holstein Musik Festival (Hamburg), Zermmat Festival 2013 and 2014 (Switzerland) invited by the members of the Berlin Philarmonic, Toronto Summer Festival 2014 (Canada), Rheingau Festival 2015, and Juan March Foundation 2016. In an orchestral context, he has performed with various orchestras around North America, Europe, China and South America and he has been member of the Spanish National Youth Orchestra (JONDE in Spanish), the Schleswig-Holstein Orchestra (SHMF), and the Sandor Vegh Kammerorchester Salzburg, as cello soloist. During the period 2014-2016, he became academist of the historicist group "Balthasar Neumann Ensemble" in Freiburg (Germany), conducted by the prestigious conductor Thomas Hengelbrock and under the patronage of him. Nowadays is member of this ensemble performing and touring all over Europe. Due to his notorious interest in teaching, he has been teaching as an invited at the Costa Rica National Youth Orchestra, at Luigi Boccherini Festival and at Liceo Mozartiano in La Habana (Cuba). It is also important to note the recording of his first album "Perspectiven" (Salzburg, 2013) including solo cello pieces by Reger, Ysaÿe and Ligeti.
